Abstract

The purpose of the research is to determine the effectiveness of using interactive multimedia module in order to increase students’ understanding in Endangered Ecosystem topic. The research involved implementation of 60 samples from pure science students of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama Durian Guling, Terengganu. The instruments used are the pre-test and post-test questions. The using of interactive multimedia module gives the positive effect in order to increase the students, understanding. It can be proven by the increment of mean score of 2.10. Through this research, the usage of the multimedia module can increase the students’ achievement. During the module development, the researcher choose the ASSURE model as a guideline to develop this module. In this model, it suggested six steps. There are analyze learner, state objectives, select methods, media and materials, utilize media and materials, require learner participation and evaluate and revise. As the conclusion, there are some differences between the mean of pre-test and the post-test. It means the students’ achievement can be increase by using the multimedia module. Therefore, the interactive multimedia module is suggested to the whole level of school especially at the primary and secondary school.
